REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage therapy is the treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders through manipulation of the body’s soft tissues and joints. At our boutique health club in Downtown Abbotsford, we offer quality massage therapy services by helping our clients reduce tension, relieve pain, and reach optimal physical function.

JONATHAN HANKS, RMT

Jonathan Hanks is a graduate of the West Coast Collage of Massage Therapy and has been a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of BC since 2013. Jonathan is a calm and quiet individual who brings this same energy into the treatment room. He discovered an interest in anatomy and physiology and found the perfect job in massage therapy because it combines these interests with his passion for working with his hands.

Jonathan uses Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point release, active release techniques, stretching, and mobilization to provide a focused treatment for each patient. He enjoys seeing patients leave in less pain and with less stress.

WHAT TO EXPECT

First appointments are typically 1 hour in length and it is advised that they are not less that 45 minutes.  Consultation, patient history taking, and physical assessment are performed at the beginning of every treatment and can take up to 15 minutes for an initial patient. Treatment may include a variety of hands on swedish techniques, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, lymph drainage, trigger point release, and strengthening and stretching applications. At the end of treatment there will be time left to educate and prescribe the patient homecare instructions to avoid further injury and help with the healing process; some examples of instructions could be in stretching and strengthening exercises, postural recommendations, and education on the mechanism of injury so that it may be avoided in the future. Your appointment time is reserved for you so please ensure you give at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations to avoid cancellation fees.

We accept cash, debit, visa, and mastercard.

Payment is due at time of service. We offer direct billing for most insurance providers.
